Bible stories are very interesting ones that can challenge the emotions of the children if they are well-engaged and motivated. The teacher should endeavor to use the appropriate method and interactive techniques that will make the children learn voluntarily.
1. God Makes the Heaven and the Earth.
God made the earth. Nothing was there except darkness. There was no light, water, land, animals, sea, or man. God made everything perfect and blessed them. All that God had made and are very good. He created morning and evening on the sixth day. Genesis 1: 1-31
Lesson: God can perfect what is wrong in our life.
2. God Makes Adam.
When God made the earth and heaven, the earth was empty. There were no plants on the field because there was no rain on the earth. There was no man to work on the ground too. God formed man from dust. Genesis 2:4- 7
Lesson: God made everyone living on the earth.
3. God Warns Adam.
God took the Adam and settled him in the Garden of Eden to work and take care of it. God said to the man that he must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil God said that when Adam ate from it, he would surely die. Genesis 2: 15-18
Lesson: You must listen and obey the instructions of God.
4. God Makes a Helpmate for Adam.
God made Adam sleep and took one of the man’s ribs and closed the place with flesh. God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man and brought her to the man. Genesis 2: 18-25
Lesson: God loves you so much. He knows what you need and provides for you.
5. The Serpent Deceives Eve.
The serpent went to the woman God made. The serpent said to the woman to eat from the tree God told Adam He must not eat from. The woman responded God said we must not eat from that tree. God said if we eat from it we will surely die. The serpent said they should not die; their eyes would only open. Then the serpent deceived the woman to eat from the tree. Both of them ate from the tree and their eyes were opened. Genesis 3: 1-7
Lesson: You must not obey Satan and disobey God.
6. Cain and Abel Give God Offerings.
Cain and Abel were born by Adam and Eve. Cain was the first child and Abel was the second child. Abel kept flocks and Abel worked as a farmer. One day, Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord. Abel brought fat ones from the firstborn of his flock. Genesis 4: 1-3
Lesson: You should be a cheerful giver. Bring the offering your parents give you to the church. Do not use it to buy snacks.
7. God Favors Abel’s Offerings.
God took the offering of Abel but he rejected the offering of Cain. Abel’s offering was fat and from the willing heart. Cain’s offering was just an offering. Genesis 4: 3-5
Lesson: You should give God the best things.
8. Cain Kills Abel.
Cain was angry and killed his brother, Abel. God was angry and cursed Cain. Cain had no rest again. He was walking around. Cain was driven from the land and hidden from God’s presence. God put a sign on Cain’s body so that no one would kill him. Genesis 4: 6-25
Lesson: You should not kill your friends or curse your friends.
9. Noah Builds a Boat.
When God created people, they were very wicked. God told Noah to build a big and long boat. God told Noah to put obedient people and animals in the boat to keep them safe. The rain started and rained. When all the water had gone, the boat got down. The disobedient people perished. God made a rainbow. “Never again will I destroy the earth,” God said to Noah. Genesis 6: 1-22
Lesson: You should not be wicked. You should be an obedient child.
10. God Calls Abraham.
God told Abram to leave his household and go to the land He would show him. Abram was promised that He would be blessed him. Abram, his wife – Sarah, and Lot – nephew left and set for the land of Canaan. In Canaan, God told Abram that He would give the land to his offspring and built an altar for God at Hebron. Genesis 12: 1-18
Lesson: You should obey the instructions of God.
11. Abram Rescues Lot.
One day, the King of Sodom, the King of Gomorrah, the King of Admah, the King of Zeboim, and the King of Bela fought against four kings. These four kings took all the goods and food of Sodom and Gomorrah and went away. They also carried Lot off. One of them that escaped came to report to Abram. Abram divided his men to attack them and recover Lot – Nephew and all possessions. Genesis 14: 1-24
Lesson: You should have the mind of helping other people. You should rescue other people from danger.
12. God Makes Covenant with Abram.
God said that He was Abram’s shield and his great reward. He said He would give Abram his child. He took Abram outside to look up at heaven and count the stars. Abram believed in God and he was called a righteous person. On that day, God made a covenant with Abram that He would give his descendants the land from the river of Egypt to the great river. Genesis 15: 1-21
Lesson: You should know that God has a purpose for you. God is our provider.
13. The Three Visitors Visit Abraham.
God appeared to Abraham beside the tree of Mamre. The three visitors came while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day. As Abraham and his wife prepared food for the three visitors and they ate it. Then the visitors told Abraham and Sarah that they would have a Son at this time next year. Genesis 18: 1-15
Lesson: You should trust God for everything. For Him, everything is possible.
14. Abraham Pleads for Sodom.
God said that he had heard of the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah and their sins were so many. God said he would sweep off Sodom and Gomorrah because of their sins. Abraham pleaded too many to make sure that Lot and his daughters are safe. God said when the righteous people are ten, He would not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. Read Genesis 18: 1-33
Lesson: You should save people from dangers and troubles.
15. Sodom and Gomorrah Are Destroyed.
The two angels arrived at Sodom. Lot saw them when he was sitting in the gateway of the city. He prepared food for them and they ate before they went to bed. The angels told Lot that he should get out of Sodom with his daughters and other relatives because they would destroy the city. Lot took his daughters and fled Sodom. Lot and his daughters went to Zoar. God then rained down burning fire on Sodom and Gomorrah. Early in the next morning, Abraham got up and returned to the place where he had stood before God. He looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah and saw smoking furnaces rising from the land. God destroyed the cities of the plain. Genesis 19: 1-29
Lesson: You should run from sins because sins are destroying.
