Wisdom is the concept we have to pray for always because nothing can take the place of wisdom. We need wisdom in all facets of life. We need wisdom in the office, in the church, in the school, in the business, in the farm, in the academics, etc. to achieve greatly. But the kind of wisdom we need as children of God is the wisdom of God. The earthly wisdom can fail but God‘s wisdom is never failed. The following are my favorite proverbs on wisdom.
Proverbs 1
Proverbs 1: 20 gives the need for wisdom. There is a need for wisdom for people, especially the foolish. Solomon understands that wisdom can make human beings succeed in life. He encourages people to tap wisdom. It is available. Friend, are you a wise person or are ready for the available wisdom? It will help you. Read through Proverbs 1.
Proverbs 2
Proverbs 2 advises wisdom because wisdom brings knowledge and understanding. A person without wisdom lacks understanding and knowledge. People still are advised to take the words and instructions/commandments of elders seriously. If you are wise, you will understand righteousness. Many verses in Proverbs 4 explain the reasons why we need wisdom. Proverb 4 says that we shall get wisdom and understanding and we must not forget them. The principal thing is wisdom. Proverb 9 says that wisdom has done everything possible for the folly. It has prepared food ready for people. The next is for those who need should come and tap from it. Proverbs 10
Proverb 10 points at a wise child and a foolish child. In the text, the Bible says that if you are a wise son, your father will be glad, but if you are a foolish son, your mother will be heavy. Proverbs 13 recognizes a wise child as someone who listens to his father’s instruction. The proverb says that the scorner turns a deaf ear to the rebuke. If you are not a wise child, you are a foolish child. The verses 20 say that if you are walking with wise men, you will be wise but if you are walking with foolish men, you will be foolish. Proverbs 14
Proverb 14 advises women to be wise. It warns them not to initiate or be involved in anything that will destroy their homes. The proverb continues that a wise woman will protect her family while a fool will destroy her home. Are you a wise woman or a foolish woman? You must the category you fall into. Proverbs 15
Proverb 14 warns against the misuse of tongues and mouths. The tongue of a wise person will produce knowledge but what the mouth of a tongue produces is foolishness. How you make use of your tongue matters. Have you watched the way you use your tongue? Read through Proverbs 15 and be expired.

Proverbs 17
Proverb assures a wise son as a leader but the fool always followers. The proverb says that if you cause shame, you behave foolishly. How do you behave? Do you behave wisely or foolishly? You will need to know your side. Read through Proverb 17 and be expired.

If read through Proverb 17, the Bible talks about the weaknesses of the foolish and the reasons why we need wisdom. Wisdom is what can refine foolishness. Read through Proverbs 18 and be inspired.
Proverbs 20
Proverb 20 warns the drunks. It says he who drinks is a fool. Wine is a mocker. If you are deceived by it, you are not wise. Drinking hard wines and beers is not in the law of God and it destroys you little by little. Are you a notorious drunk? You can spend all your income on drinking, you are not wise.
