Wisdom is the concept we have to pray for always because nothing can take the place of wisdom. We need wisdom in all facets of life. We need wisdom in the office, in the church, in the school, in the business, in the farm, in the academics, etc. to achieve greatly. But the kind of wisdom we need as children of God is the wisdom of God. The earthly wisdom can fail but God‘s wisdom is never failed. The following are my favorite proverbs on wisdom.

Proverbs 1

Proverbs 1: 20 gives the need for wisdom. There is a need for wisdom for people, especially the foolish. Solomon understands that wisdom can make human beings succeed in life. He encourages people to tap wisdom. It is available. Friend, are you a wise person or are ready for the available wisdom? It will help you. Read through Proverbs 1.

Proverbs 2

Proverbs 2 advises wisdom because wisdom brings knowledge and understanding. A person without wisdom lacks understanding and knowledge. People still are advised to take the words and instructions/commandments of elders seriously. If you are wise, you will understand righteousness. You have to seek wisdom so that you can have knowledge and understanding. Read through Proverbs 2.

Proverbs 3

Proverbs 3: 21 commands people to keep sound wisdom and understanding. Sound wisdom can keep people going to the ground of success.  When one has wisdom, one has everything. Do you know that having wisdom is more than having money? Read through Proverbs 3

Proverbs 4

Many verses in Proverbs 4 explain the reasons why we need wisdom. Proverb 4 says that we shall get wisdom and understanding and we must not forget them. The principal thing is wisdom. There is nothing like wisdom. We are advised that we should stick to the instruction of our fathers. Do you take the instructions of elders seriously? Are you eager to get wisdom at all? Proverbs 5

Proverb 5 warns against indiscipline. It proceeds to say that those who hate indiscipline do not have wisdom and understanding. We are advised to like discipline because those who like discipline have wisdom. Read through Proverbs 5 and be inspired.

Proverbs 8

Proverbs 8 calls people for wisdom and knowledge. It invites the foolish to be wise. Everyone that needs wisdom should come for the wisdom.  Do you need wisdom? Seek wisdom always. Read through Proverbs 8 and be inspired.

Proverbs 9

Proverb 9 says that wisdom has done everything possible for the folly. It has prepared food ready for people. The next is for those who need should come and tap from it. Wisdom is called to provide for the foolish and the foolish are called to become the wise. You are foolish! Have you come to be wise? Read through Psalm 9 and be inspired.

Proverbs 10

Proverb 10 points at a wise child and a foolish child. In the text, the Bible says that if you are a wise son, your father will be glad, but if you are a foolish son, your mother will be heavy. The proverb calls for wisdom and not for foolishness. Are you a wise son or a foolish son? It is very important to know your category. Read through Proverb 10 and be inspired.

Proverbs 11

Proverb 11 advocates humility. It wants us to be humble. The proverb tries to explain the shame for the powerful and proud but the honor is for the wise. Are you arrogant and proud? Are you humble? You will have to know your category to determine whether you are wise or foolish. Read through Proverbs 11 and be inspired.

Proverbs 12

Proverb 12 advises us to love instruction so that we can be wise. The reason is that those who love instruction love knowledge, but if you hate reproof, you are brutish. Do you like discipline and instruction or do you hate them? Read through Proverbs 12 and be inspired.

Proverbs 13

Proverbs 13 recognizes a wise child as someone who listens to his father’s instruction. The proverb says that the scorner turns a deaf ear to the rebuke. If you are not a wise child, you are a foolish child. The verses 20 say that if you are walking with wise men, you will be wise but if you are walking with foolish men, you will be foolish. Do you want to be a wise child or a foolish child? You have to determine the category you belong to. Read through Proverbs 13 and be inspired.

Proverbs 14

Proverb 14 advises women to be wise. It warns them not to initiate or be involved in anything that will destroy their homes. The proverb continues that a wise woman will protect her family while a fool will destroy her home. Are you a wise woman or a foolish woman? You must the category you fall into.  Read through Proverbs 14 and be inspired.

Proverbs 15

Proverb 14 warns against the misuse of tongues and mouths. The tongue of a wise person will produce knowledge but what the mouth of a tongue produces is foolishness.  How you make use of your tongue matters. Have you watched the way you use your tongue? Read through Proverbs 15 and be expired.

Proverbs 16

Proverb 16 compares wisdom to gold. It says that having wisdom is better than having gold. He who gets wisdom gets understanding. Choosing wisdom is better than choosing silver! Are you thirsting for wisdom and Knowledge? Read through Proverb 16 and be inspired.

Proverbs 17

Proverb assures a wise son as a leader but the fool always followers. The proverb says that if you cause shame, you behave foolishly.  How do you behave? Do you behave wisely or foolishly? You will need to know your side. Read through Proverb 17 and be expired.

 Proverbs 18

If read through Proverb 17, the Bible talks about the weaknesses of the foolish and the reasons why we need wisdom. Wisdom is what can refine foolishness. Read through Proverbs 18 and be inspired.

Proverbs 20

Proverb 20 warns the drunks. It says he who drinks is a fool. Wine is a mocker. If you are deceived by it, you are not wise.  Drinking hard wines and beers is not in the law of God and it destroys you little by little. Are you a notorious drunk? You can spend all your income on drinking, you are not wise. Read through Proverbs 20 and be expired.

Proverbs 21

`Proverb 21 reveals the strength of the wise and wisdom and the weaknesses of the foolish and foolishness. It explains further that no action can be successful without wisdom.  Do you have wisdom at all? The question must be answered correctly. Read through Proverbs 21 and be inspired.

Proverbs 22

Proverb 22 says a wise man protects himself or herself from evil but a fool does not care. Do you care about things around you? Are you sensitive At all? You will have to be wise. Read through Proverb 22 and be inspired.

Proverbs 23

The proverb says that wisdom is for sale but a gift from God. It warns us that we should not sell it because it is our birthright. Haven’t you sold your birthright? You will need an answer to this question Read through Proverbs 23 and be inspired.

Proverbs 25 and 26

The Proverbs teaches the way we should handle a fool. As a wise person, the first step is to listen to his foolishness and the second step is to respond to his foolishness. How are you responding to the requests of a fool? Learn new things now Read through Proverbs 25 and 26.

Proverbs 27 and 28

Proverbs 27 teaches us how to learn wisdom while Proverb 28 instructs us on how to keep the commandments.  He who keeps the commandments is a wise man. And he who learns wisdom is a wise person.  Are you available for more wisdom? Read through Psalms 17 and 28 and be inspired.

Proverbs 30 and 31

The two proverbs seek wisdom and we should also learn that our mouth must serve as kindness.
