A birthday celebration is a joyful day in the life of people. Even the Bible also recognized its importance to mark it. That is why the Bible says and records that we should count our days so that we can be wise.  Therefore, if someone is celebrating his or her birthday, it is not a mistake. It is also Biblical. But the celebration of the birthday is not to eat and wine only. It goes beyond that! The celebration of their birthday is to first sit down to see the areas of their strengths and weaknesses for the past year spent. On your child, see to the areas you have failed or performed well as a parent. Then, you will decide to make amends to serve your child better in the remaining years. Secondly, your son/daughter needs prayers of thanks to God for keeping him/her till that day, prayers of protection, prayers of success, prayers of accomplishments, prayers of hope, etc. Thirdly, make known to people to celebrate and send wishes to him/her. If all these are done, you may then “dine and wine”. The following prayer points with Bible verses are the prayers you can pray for your child celebrating their birthday.

  1. This is the day in your life that Lord has made, begin to rejoice today because your joy is full. Be glad because today is your Birthday and the joy will not end suddenly in the name of Jesus (Psalm 118:24)
  2. We give thanks to God for He is good and His steadfast love is forevermore over your life for making you witness this day. You will continue to thank God forever in the name of Jesus (Psalm 107: 1)
  3. Thank God and shout for joy today for your birthday has come and you will rejoice and raise a banner of joy and delight for your day has come (Psalm 20: 5).
  4. Oh Lord, it is You that formed me in my mother’s womb and gave me the grace to come to this earth. I praise you always and I will give the thanks forever (Psalm 71: 6)
  5. You should thank God today for the inexpressible gifts of life given to you to see another year. You will experience more years to thank God in the mighty name of God (2 Corinthians 9: 15)
  6. Today, I pray for you that the plan of God for you is to be glorious and it shall come to pass in the name of Jesus (Jeremiah 29: 11)
  7. I pray for you that all things will be well with you and you will experience good health on the planet Earth to celebrate more years in the name of Jesus (3 John 1: 2)
  8. This time of your celebration, may God will renew your strengths; you shall mountain up with wings and you shall run without fainting in the name of Jesus (Isaiah 41: 11)
  9. You shall always see God and be blessed from today in the name of Jesus (Mathew 5: 8)
  10. You are God’s handiwork created in Jesus, I pray for you that you will perish in the name of Jesus (Ephesians 2: 10).
  11. You are my joy; you are my relief; You will not fall sick and you not die. You will be my joy forever in the name of Jesus (John 16: 31)
  12. I pray for you that your days will be many and God will add more years to your years in good health and wisdom of God (Proverbs 9: 11).

  15. God has promised His children that we should live long in sound health in all days of our lives. I pray for you that you will always dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of your life in the name of Jesus (Psalm 27: 4-7)
  16. From today, God will have unending mercy on you in the name of Jesus (Psalm 27: 7)
  17. You have seen another day today which means you counted one more year again. I pray that you will see more years on this earth in the name of Jesus (Psalm 90: 12)
  18. From today as you mark another day, God will order His angels to protect and guard you in the name of Jesus (Psalm 91: 11)
  19. God promised His children long life, I pray that you live long in the will of God and fulfill your destiny in the name of Jesus (Psalm 91: 16)
  20. Form today that you mark another year; the Lord will save you and always be glad about it. He will rejoice with and cancel any rebuke against you in the name of Jesus (Zephaniah 3: 17).
  21. I pray for you today that God will take delight in you and give you what you desire of your heart in the name of Jesus (Psalm 37: 4-5)

  27. From now on, the Lord will straighten your path and make it smooth for you in this perishable world in the name of Jesus (Proverbs 3: 4-5).
  28. Our God is God of hope; I believe in You to give you hope. Almighty God will give you right hope as you grow up in the name of Jesus (Romans 15: 13)
  29. In life, you will not be put to shame because God’s love is on you in the name of Jesus (Romans 5: 5)
  30. I pray that the angels of the Lord will encamp you and you will begin to go higher in the name of Jesus (Psalm 34: 7)
  31. I pray that the Lord that has begun the good work in your life will complete and you shall continue to go forward in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in the name of Jesus (Philippians 1: 6)
  32. Join me to lift your hands and bless God for the Lord is good to you and will continue to be good to you in the name of Jesus (Psalm 134: 2).
  33. Join me my daughter/son to thank God for those who celebrate you and pray for you today that God will bless them and the day of joy will come too in the name of Jesus.
  34. Let us thank God Almighty and bless Him for He is good and mercy endures forever over your life for the past years He has kept you (Psalm 34: 8)
