A Man Praying while Holding a Bell

The Bible is filled with promises of all sorts. From hope to love and peace. Before Jesus Christ departed from earth he made his disciples understand how he was going to leave peace with them in the Holy Ghost.

We live in a somewhat troublesome and turbulent world. Our minds are constantly filled with and plagued with thoughts of fear. But how can we overcome these seemingly never-ending thoughts of fear that are constantly dominating the world today?

It’s quite obvious how you can’t fight fear with fear. You can only override restlessness and fear with faith and faith alone. One of the clear signs of anyone who’s living in rest and faith is that such a person gets to engage in prayer from time to time. After all, the bible says we should pray without ceasing. This implies continuity and at the same time, it also implies constancy.

Prayer Analysis

In this article, we’ll be sharing prayer points that are meant to give you victory over fear and give you rest and peace of mind. In this article, we shall work on the prayer points that are meant to give you peace of mind:

Prayer Point 1: “Oh Lord of peace, please pitch your tent with me”

The first prayer point from this article is to pray to God for peace to be with you. There’s perhaps nothing better and more effective than summoning the presence of God to be with you.

Philippians 4:9 says “Whatever you’ve learned … or seen in me – put into practice.

This prayer point is highly essential in its effectiveness. It’s advised that anyone who’s having persistent troubles with maintaining peace of mind should pray this prayer point fervently.

Prayer Point 2: “Lord, renew your covenant of peace with me”

This prayer point is very powerful. The lord is still in the business of making a covenant with us despite being his creatures. Just like he made covenants with people in or from the bible days, he’s still in the business of making a covenant of peace with us.

Use this belief and conviction to pray this prayer point that the lord of all flesh, the Lord of ages past and ages to come should renew his covenant of peace with you.

The book of Isaiah 54:10 says “Though … says the Lord who has compassion on you.

There are times when the cause of our restlessness is due to the fact we’ve been living a life that’s been largely dominated and controlled by the flesh and its desires. It’d be wrong in such a situation to pray for material things.

Prayer Point 3: The next prayer point is this “ Lord, please make my life governed by your spirit”

The word of God says in the book of Romans 8:6 “The mind governed …”

To experience true peace we have to live a spiritual life and not a carnal life. To live the desired life that’s filled with promises of peace, we have to call on God to help us live a life that’s spirit-led. Because only then can we have a mind that radiates life and peace.

Prayer Point 4: The next prayer point goes thus “Lord as much as possible help me to live peacefully with all men”

There are times in our lives when we have a chaotic and restless mind as a result of not being able to straighten our relationships with people. Buy the bible as instructed that as much as possible we’re meant to follow peace with all men.

And that’s what necessitates this one prayer point. Tell God in your heart in prayer that as much as possible, he should help you live at peace with all men.

Prayer Point 5: “Lord help me to sow seeds of peace”

All through the bible, it’s scattered there that whatever we sow, that shall we also reap. This bible verse does not specify what and what to sow. The central idea is always that whatever we sow, shall we also reap.

The bible says in James chapter 3 verse 18 that peacemakers who sow in peace reap and harvest of righteousness.

It takes being led by the Holy Spirit to sow seeds of peace. The man who’s been led by the flesh is constantly engulfed in sowing seeds that are not of righteousness and not in right standing with the precepts of God.

Prayer Point 6: The next prayer point of peace from this article is to tell God in prayer to cause your enemy to make peace with you.

Proverbs 16 verse 7 says when the lord takes pleasure in anyone’s way he causes their enemies to make peace with them.

Another way to pray this prayer point is to tell God almighty to take pleasure in your way and cause your enemies to make peace with you. As a Christian living in a world that’s largely filled with attempts of the darkness to dominate even what the Lord has created, it’s not uncommon to find people who have made themselves your sworn enemy with your Knowing. And these Unknown or unrealized enemies coils are very well hell-bent on causing unrest for you. But not when you pray to God about them.

Prayer Point 7: Our next prayer point is to tell God to help you do everything that leads to peace and mutual edification.

Sometimes, we’re unconsciously the architect of the unrest and lack of peace in our lives. And that’s largely due to the fact we’ve been hitherto doing things that are selfish and things that only appeal to our sense of being and that alone.

Nothing much about our neighbours and our actions will be of influence to them or how our actions will affect them. Whereas the bible has told us through various messengers of God that we’re meant to love our neighbours and follow peace with all men.

Prayer Point 8: God’s word in the book of Psalms 34 verse 14 says to turn from evil and do good. Seek peace and pursue it.

We’ll probably need to constantly remind ourselves of the fact that praying for spiritual things as opposed to praying for carnal things greatly requires the Grace of God.

Our next prayer point is to tell God in prayer to assist and to help us follow peace and to pursue it. Another way to rephrase and pray the prayer is to ask or tell God to give us the grace to seek and pursue peace fervently.

Prayer Point 9: Our next prayer point goes thus: Father Lord, help me to listen to your promises of peace.

There are a lot of speeches in the world today that are not anywhere close or near the original promises of God towards those who believe in him.

The book of Psalms 85 verse 8 says I will listen to what God …

In the news and forecasts of today, commonly, you’ll find promises and predictions of unrest. This news can easily settle in the mind and it could cause anyone to fall into depression and live with a heart that’s abiding in peace.

It’s therefore necessary for us to pray to God to help us and cause us to listen to him in the midst and middle of all the turbulence that’s been spread around.

Prayer Point 10: This would be our last prayer point in this series of this very particular article.

Lord help me to put my trust fully in you. The Bible in the book of Isaiah 26 verse 3 says you’ll keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you.

Tell God in your prayers to help you keep your mind steadfast in him and to keep your mind in perfect peace.

We all desire the peace that comes from God and it’s right that we press for it in prayers. So that’s why we’re closing this round of the article with prayer points of the God kind of peace.

Conclusion

Prayer is the key and the only way to request favours from God. We often think we can buy and achieve peace by accumulating things and stuff. How wrong that is. True peace that gives complete rest to the human soul comes from God and him alone.

The article has provided fascinating prayer points, that when prayed with faith and in complete belief in the power God holds the ability to transform one’s life.

It’s advised that you pray those you include those prayer points in your normal prayer time. Or you could also dedicate special time to them. May the Lord grant our minds peace. May he pitch his tent with you and grant you true and real peace. Amen.
