Immediately after the healing of a man, (Mathew 12: 14-21), the Pharisees plotted to kill Jesus, just because of the good work. He did. Devil is now recruiting people to join him in his wickedness. Wickedness is more pronounced in homes, churches, and society. He (the Devil) came to steal, kill, and destroy. If you look into this work of the devil, you will discover that the wicked is at work. Many things have been destroyed through stealing, killing, and destroying the work of the wicked. The wicked brings sickness, failure, barrenness, curses, confusion, fighting, hatred, and division into the midst of the children of God. That is why we need the armor of God.
The Amor of Gospel of Peace
Read and meditate on Ephesians 6: 15-15)
One of the armors of God that we need these days as a matter of compulsion is the gospel of peace. This armor covers the feet; it protects the feet. Christian’s emotional, mental, and spiritual stability is built and maintained upon the foundation of the historical event of the gospel. This armor grants us stability and enables us to balance our spiritual warfare against the enemy.
The gospel centered on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ: It is upon Jesus’ resurrection that we have hope and peace of mind, and, the assurance that Jesus Christ has all things under His control. The Christian soldier must be prepared with the gospel of peace to face the attack of the devil.
The fitted feet to trample on enemies: Our feet need to be fitted because as Christians, we have to go through the dangerous ranks of enemies. And with feet fitted with the gospel of peace, we will be encouraged to fight bravely. The feet need to be protected because when it is materially damaged or wounded. Christian will not be able to stand to resist the enemy, but rather him/herself fit. Hence, we must as a matter of obligation, publish the gospel (Isaiah 52:7; Romans 10: 15). Our feet being fitted with the gospel of peace are an indicator of our readiness for the journey. Every Christian should consider themselves as strangers on a journey to their homes.
The Amor of Faith
Read and meditate on Ephesians 6: 16
The armor of God is a crucial issue in the life of a Christian. Here, we are considering the shield of faith. The shield is a weapon of defense. It protects the soldier’s body against the attack of the enemy. Christian faith serves as a shield against the attack of doubt, discouragement, despair, and deceit.
Active and effective faith: Without faith, other weapons are rendered inactive, so faith is the armor that preserves and renders others active and effective. The shield of faith protects all and it is indispensable to the security of all. The shield could be made to protect the head or the heart or thrown behind to resist an attack. As long as a soldier shields to protect himself, similarly, as long as a Christian has faith, he/she is safe. Christian’s faith aids him/her in every attack lunches against him/her by the devil.
Meditation on the Word of God: Christians acquire faith through the reading and studying of the Word of God (Romans 10: 17). How committed are you to reading and studying the Word of God?
The Amor of Protection and Guard
Read and meditate on Ephesians 6: 17
Christians are at all times in constant battles with the devil. They must not relent and seek not yet repose. The battle is not over until is over. And it is over when we end our journey at the feet of the Lord Jesus. Here, we shall be considering two vital amours of God with which the Christians fight.
The helmet of salvation: The helmet protects the head the center of reference to the body. The helmet gives the soldier the confidence to keep his head high as he engages the enemy. The helmet that protects the head is the Christian’s hope of conquering every adversary and surmounting every difficulty through the blood of the Lamb. The helmet was a cap made of thick leather or brass fitted to the head and was usually crowned with a plume, or crest as an ornament. It was used to guard the head against a bow by sword club or battle axe.
The Sword of the Spirit: This armor plays a dual role. It attacks and defends. The sword of the spirit is the Word of God which every Christian uses to attack the enemy and defend himself/herself from the arrows of the enemy. It is an offensive weapon in spiritual warfare. The enemy is making every effort to destroy your faith, confidence, and trust in the Word of God. Christians must fight against the allegation that the scripScriptureot the Word of God in everything it teaches. If your life is devoid of the Word of God, then it is prone to the attack of the enemy.
Conclusion
Wars and destruction are inevitable in society; the devil is just spreading it here and there. Enemies are just making a mess of destiny and there are battles here and there. Beloved, what kind of battle are you facing now? Your victory is certain because God is there to give you victory. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God (1 John 5: 4-5). The only thing that can alter it is if Jesus has not been crucified but it has been done already. So, your victory is sure, you just have faith and claim it. It is well with you. God will make wars cease to the end break the bows and shatter the spears in our lives.

- God, I ask for more of the Holy Spirit to control me in everything I do; I think, and my step in the name of Jesus.
- Oh Lord, give me the sword of Spirit to attack the enemies and his agents in Jesus’ name.
- Almighty God, give me power and offensive weapons in the spiritual battles in the name of Jesus Christ.
