Christmas Carol is a year anniversary that is celebrated to mark the love of God over everyone and the birth of Jesus Christ in the world. Jesus Christ was born like this time some decade now.

The same applied to the case of Halleluyah Baptist Church Agbaje-Ijokodo, Ibadan and it should be a model for every church to draw a program on how Christmas Carol should be celebrated every year. The day in the church was very awesome and joyous.

As We Proceed to the Altar by Hymn

After the Sunday School Classes, the officiating ministers proceeded to the altar through a hymn led by Bro Abiodun Osintona. It is one of the selected Christmas Carol hymns.

In Call to Worship and Prayer of Thanksgiving

The Church Pastor, Rev Niyi Ajibade, called the church to worship from Psalm 107 which was read responsively. After we completed the reading, the pastor led us in the prayer of thanksgiving.

In Singing Praises

Ore Adedokun led the church in inspirational praises. The church members were in a praising mood to worship God with all their hearts. Selected carol praises with the help of the Holy Spirit carry the church members to a praise realm and joyful mood.

Through Congregational Hymn

Hymn 136 was led by Bro Abiodun Osintona. The hymn was one of the Carol ones which the church loved.

In Greeting, Recognition, Announcement, and Notice

The Church Secretary, Deaconess Ayobami Adelakun, was in charge of greetings, recognitions, announcements, and notices. The secretary kept the members of the church of the programs ahead of the church. The programs such as Revival programs, Count of Blessings, End-of-the-year Revival, Cross over Night, and Halleluyah Prayer Revival; he also made other notices concerning the church’s growth and others.

Through Pastoral Prayer

The Church Pastor, Rev. Niyi Ajibade, led the prayer through the Holy Spirit. The pastor released the prayer anointing of favor, mercy, and grace over all the members for the remainder of this year and the auction to function well in the next year.

In Bible Reading

The first reading of the Bible was taken from Mrs. V. O. Ajibade. Mrs. Ajibade read from the two Bible Books, namely the books of Isaiah 7: 13-17 and Mathew 1: 18-25. The chapters pointed the church members to the love of Christ and Carol season.

Through Hymn

Another Carol hymn was led by Lady Evangelist Kemi Adetunji. The hymn was 97The Evangelist took the stanza one after the other as the members of the church followed.

Through Scripture Reading

The second Bible reading was taken from the two books, namely Isaiah 9: 6-7 and Psalm 97: 1-12. Dn E. F. Falohun led the church to read from those chapters and verses.

Through Hymn

Another Carol hymn was led by Deaconess Ayobami Adelakun. The hymn was 87. The Deaconess took the stanza one after the other as the members of the church followed. Watch the video.

 

Choir Rendition I

This rendition was from the Children’s Choir. The Children’s Choir rendered the Christmas Carol Songs and they read memory verses from the Bible. Each of the children did well in reading their memory verses. More Christmas Carol Songs were sung to round off their renditions.

The Carol’s Bible Verses were selected to read where we could understand the love of God and the real meaning of this season. The Word of God was taken from Mathew 2: 1-12 and read by Dns D. B. Idowu.

Through Hymn

Another Carol hymn was led by Bro Abiodun Osintona. The hymn was 95. The Deaconess took the stanza one after the other as the members of the church followed.

Choir Rendition II

This rendition was from the God’s Heritage Choir. The GH Choir rendered the Christmas Carol Songs that inspired the church members. Each of the choir members did well while rendering the songs. Joy pervaded the hearts of the church members.

With Our Tithe

Pastor Remi Adeniran led the session on giving God tithes. The church members stepped forward to the front where the pastor prayed over their tithes. After the prayer, all the members dropped their tithes in the tithe box.

With Our Offerings

Dns D. B. Idowu led the church members to the offering session. Deaconess inspired them to bring all offerings and pray over them. The choir ministered in songs and the church members danced to the offering box and dropped their offerings.

Through the Word of God

The Carol’s Bible Verses were selected to read where we could understand the love of God and the real meaning of this season. The Word of God was taken from Luke 2: 1-20 and read by Mr. Dokun Ogunmola.

Through Hymn

Another Carol hymn was led by Deacon Adeola Adelakun. The hymn was 98. The Deacon took the stanza one after the other as the members of the church followed. Watch the video.

Choir Rendition III

This rendition was from WMU Choir. The WMU Choir rendered the Christmas Carol Songs that inspired the church members. Each of the choir members did well while rendering the songs. The WMU choir’s selection of songs was different as they went in line with Carol’s season. Joy pervaded the hearts of the church members. Watch the video.

Through the Word of God

The Carol’s Bible Verses were selected to read where we could understand the love of God and the real meaning of this season. The Word of God was taken from 1 John 4: 7-16 and read by Dns T. K. Akanbi.

Choir Rendition III

This rendition was from Halleluyah Voices Choir. The HV Choir rendered the Christmas Carol Songs that inspired the church members. Each of the choir members did well while rendering the songs. The HV choir was the only choir to sing in English. They selected the real Carol Renditions. Joy pervaded the hearts of the church members.

Through His Servant

The Church Pastor, Rev. Niyi Ajibade, Preached a powerful message that day. The pastor entitled the message “Being in Love, the Best Feeling among the Brethren.” The man of God torched the love of God over everyone. And we too must love one another. The Pastor emphasized the word LOVE as a keyword in ins sermon. He went further to explain why love was the best. The man of God outlined ten of them in his message.

  • Love eliminates fear.
  • Love endures.
  • Love brings happiness.
  • Love gives incredible inspiration.
  • Love makes you rich.
  • Love changes lives.
  • Love allows you to deep thinking.
  • Love is romantic.
  • Love brings beliefs.

The pastor concluded that if you love God and Jesus Christ, The love definitions above should manifest in your lives. We must love one another.

Bible Reading

The first reading of the Bible was taken from Dn John Popoola. Dn John Popoola read from Luke 2: 21-35. The chapter pointed the church members to the love of Christ and Carol season.

Another Carol hymn was led by Lady Evangelist Kemi Adetunji. The hymn was 2. The Evangelist took the stanza one after the other as the members of the church followed.

Through the Word of God

The Carol’s Bible Verses were selected to read where we could understand the love of God and the real meaning of this season. The Word of God was taken from Psalm 133: 1-3 and read by Mrs. Wumi Olanrewaju.

Through Hymn

Another Carol hymn was led by OreOluwa Adedokun. The hymn was 320. She took the stanza one after the other as the members of the church followed.

Through the Word of God

The Carol’s Bible Verses were selected to read where we could understand the love of God and the real meaning of this season. The Word of God was taken from Genesis 24: 63-67 and read by Pastor Remi Adeniran.

Through Hymn

Another Carol hymn was led by Deaconess Ayobami Adelakun. The hymn was 16. She took the stanza one after the other as the members of the church followed.

Prophetic Prayer and Benediction

The Pastor released the prophetic prayer over all the members of the church. The man of God put the church under the care of God and prayer for a smooth transition to Christmas day and New Year.

Recessional Hymn

As we were stepping out of the church to the prayer session, Lady Evangelist led the church in the hymn (HBH) 14. All Officiating Ministers stepped into the prayer session and Deacon Adeola Adelakun Prayed as the Officiating Ministers departed.
